For the Love of Money: Tycoon Donald Trump und „The Apprentice“

„For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows“

„I know that money – [Auslassung]

– [Auslassung]

Give me a nickel, brother, can you spare a dime

Money can drive some people out of their minds“

Vergleiche den Originaltext der O’Jays:

„I know money is the root of all evil

Do funny things to some people

Give me a nickel, brother can you spare a dime

Money can drive some people out of their minds“

Fassung des songs „For the love of money“ – mit der ursprünglichen kritischen Botschaft:

Money, money, money, money

Money

Money, money, money, money

Money

Money, money, money, money

Money

Some people – got to have it

Some people – really need it – y’all

Use it

Do things, do things, do things – bad things with it

Let me use it

Do things, do things, do things – good things with it

For the love of money

People will steal from their mother

For the love of money

And people will rob their own brother

For the love of money

Just the People can’t even walk the streets

Because they’ll never know

Who in the world they’re gonna meet

For that lean, oh mean

Mean green

Almighty dollar

For the love of money

People will lie – Lord, they will cheat

For the love of money

People don’t care who they hurt or beat

For the love of money

A woman will sell her precious body

For a small piece of paper

It carries a lot of weight

For that lean, mean, mean green

Mean green

Almighty dollar

I know that money is the root of all evil

Do funny things to some people

Give me a nickel, brother can you spare a dime

Money can drive some people out of their minds

For the love of money

(…)

For the love of money

(…)

For the love of money

(…)

People, don’t let money – don’t ever let the money change you

Almighty dollar

Talking about – talking about money

People, don’t let money – don’t ever let the money change you

(…)

Almighty dollar

  1. „If you voted for Trump because he’s ‘anti-establishment,’ guess what: You got conned“

The greatest trick Donald Trump pulled was convincing voters he’d be “anti-establishment.”

But one thing it will not be is a threat to the establishment, or the system, or whatever you want to call it. The wealthy and powerful will have more wealth and power when he’s done, not less. There’s a lot that Trump will upend, but if you’re a little guy who thinks Trump was going to upend things on your behalf or in order to serve your interests, guess what: you got suckered.

„Officially we have two parties which are in fact wings of a common party of property with two right wings.

    Corporate wealth finances each.“

    1. @Andreas Lichte

Was mir gerade einfällt.

  6. „Freedom of choice“

„With modern technology it is the easiest of tasks for a media, guided by a narrow group of political manipulators, to speak constantly of democracy and freedom while urging regime changes everywhere on earth but at home.

A curious condition of a republic based roughly on the original Roman model is that it cannot allow true political parties to share in government. What then is a true political party: one that is based firmly in the interest of a class be it workers or fox hunters.

Officially we have two parties which are in fact wings of a common party of property with two right wings.

    Corporate wealth finances each.

Since the property party controls every aspect of media they have had decades to create a false reality for a citizenry largely uneducated by public schools that teach conformity with an occasional advanced degree in consumerism.”

… man kann Trumps hangover sehen (ganz niedriger Fake-level):

    Randy Newman „guilty“:

    Yes Baby, I been drinkin‘
    And I shouldn’t come by, I know
But I found myself in trouble
And I had no place else to go

Got some whiskey from the barman
Got some cocaine from a friend
I just had to keep on movin‘
‚Til I was back in your arms again

    I’m guilty
    Baby, I’m guilty
And I’ll be guilty for the rest of my life

    How come I never do
    What I’m supposed to do
How come nothing that I try to do
    Ever turns out right

You know–You know how it is with me, Baby
You know I just can’t stand myself
It takes a whole lotta medicine
For me to pretend that I’m somebody else

    Trump, Trump, Trump, Wilders,

    Trump, Trump, Wilders,

    Trump, Trump, Trump …

„Officially we have two parties which are in fact wings of a common party of property with two right wings.

    Corporate wealth finances each.“

    Gore Vidal
