James Douglas Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971)

‘Weird and wonderful’ fans mourn Jim Morrison in Paris, 50 years on. The Doors frontman died on 3 July 1971, but to the pilgrims by his grave, his charisma remains undimmed.

On 2 July 1971, Morrison went to the cinema in Paris, returned to his flat after a restaurant dinner to listen to some music and died of a heart attack in the bath. He was just 27.
